Hey there I’m "Duke”,

My folks named me after the most famous surfer in the world, Duke Kahanamoku. Being the apple of their eye, they then named this brand after me. Pretty cool, right?

This all started before you could buy skateboards and Dad had his roller skates ripped apart and bolted to a piece of plywood, he entered heaps of local skateboard competitions... but he was never going to be a star! Surfing then became his passion and he competed all over New Zealand for many years, however stardom still wasn't in his cards. So, fast-forward 40 odd years and becoming a keen artist along the way, he thought he would try his luck at clothing design. With a heavy influence from his skateboarding and surfing heritage, Dukey Tees was born!
